Summer of 05

Back in the summer of 05 me and the gang, Jesse Roberts, Ross Measures, myself, Tyler Morland, and Harookz took a trip to Colorado. Originaly it was for Jesses movie/decline article, but Jesse's movie is sort of not happening anymore. So it was basiclly just a Decline trip. Anyways we leave the Vancouver airport in the middle of the day and arrive in Colorado at around 9:30 probably later but it could have been earlier...Well Boobar gets there in this old red dodge van too pick us all up and out bikes. You could say the Van was pretty much too small to fit all our bike boxs, but we got them all in plus us. There are these things called green machines at Rock Shox, and oh my god are they the best thing in the world. Me and jesse probably spent a good 8 hours in total on them in the week we were there. Well the first couple of days was spent scouting out spots, or what we like to call nuggs. There were so many Drainage ditches so we shot some of those, In the lightning mind you. Its crazy there it like storms everynight, then gets sunny in the day. Colorado has all these rocky mountains in every direction, and we probably drove up every one. We would occationaly find a nug and shoot it. You basiclly have to because of the weather you gotta put it together and make it happen before the clouds roll in and it starts raining. Thats basiclly how the whole trip went, ditches and mountain journeys. All good times! Acually before i end it there there was like a whole section i missed. We found this pretty sweet sand pit in like the outskirts of town, and built some dope lines and stepdowns. The stepdown was like more up a hipdown over this road deal, which me and ross hit up pretty good at times and got a couple shots done on there. Also we built this smaller just strait down drop which was too small of a gap and the landing was way to soft and sketchy. Well we got it done ross bar spun it and i opposite 3'd it after one sweet 450 to power dive. Jesse on the other hand made this line i like to call the nanja turtle line (because i found a nanja turtle sward beside it) It was like this gap a side cut out of a ridge and then a hip to this other tranny drop thing, its hard to explain. That was out last day and we killed it basiclly. Skipping ahead to the next day we leave back to Vancouver, getting delayed in Denver due to a landing gear problem...eeeek! Well we make it back all together sept for jesses camera bag seems to not be coming out of the baggage thingy. While he's looking for it and talking to people me and ross are just sitting there and stuff waiting. Tyler has already left, and jesse gives up and we decides to leave and deal with it the next day. Meanwhile I've lost my little customs paper and cant get past these guards, and almost get arrested! So ross and jesse are already threw and have been wondering where I've been. An hour later i finally sort stuff out and get threw and regroup with my long lost friends. Anyways it was an awesome trip and i hope you enjoy this little video!
