Partying with a broken thumb

So in practice Saturday for the National DH Championships here in Whistler, I slid out going too fast into a loose section of the track and hurt my poor little thumb. All I knew is that it wasnt supposed to be bending the way that I could bend it. Yeah, it was wrong. So I taped it up for my seeding run and raced on it the next day.........ow ow ow ow ow over every bump...........and ended up 4th. Then we had our Canadian Dh Girls Party and, well, partied!!!!!!!!!!! Check out http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Canadian-DH-Girls-GLC-Whistler-2006.html for how the night went. Everyone was there and after the bar closed, we proceeded to continue our night at the Sram truck in the pits till 5:30 am hahaha. Anyways, I went to see the Doc the next afternoon and turns out my thumb is broke. I tore a ligament and in doing that, it pulled a piece of bone off my joint. I go see a surgeon tomorrow to see whats up but I should be able to get surgery in the fall and ride with some kind of splint soon. So, Im missing out on the Crankworx races but theres lots of other stuff going on this week............like the Sram Invitational Wiffle Golf Tournament tonight. Haha should be fun. Gotta go help buy beer........you know, the important stuff. Bye.
