kneecap recap

Posted by: Cam

For those of you who know anything about me, know that I have been through hell with my knees. At the bright age of twenty, I have been through three, full-on, knee surgeries; one per year since 2004. ACL with meniscus for the first two, and ACL with cartlidge repair just this last time.
About three weeks after my last surgery (around 4 months now), I had my legs unintentionally taken out by a friend. I have been stressing the last couple weeks because it feels like crap, still. But, just the other day, I had an MRI done and took them to my doctor. GOOD NEWS! He looked them over and it is all good! He showed me how healthy my knee looks on the complicated MRI, too. I just started riding the other day and have already been able to ride Nastazio’s trails, Hidden Valley, and some jumps in Aptos. So pumped to be back on the bike… No tricks for now, just straight airs and some whips for another month or so.
