Nature 101 with Claire Buchar.......haha

Ok so we were DHing at this really sick track near the Gold Coast, about an hour drive from Nathans. We had so many bikes, we couldnt fit the luggage! View imageCan't tell from the picture but my bikes are the sick ones with the white World Cup Boxxers and the mint green Argyles. Anyways, and theres lots of creepy crawly things over here in Australia. They have like the 5 most deadly spiders and all the worlds most venomous snakes or something. I told you my getting bit by a spider story. But how creepy and weird is this. They have these bugs called cicadas that live under ground for 7 years before they emerge, climb up a tree, hang on the underside of a branch and hatch and fly away, leaving there skeletons behind. View imageSo the trees are literally covered with there empty bodies still hanging there. They were everywhere around us in these trees! View imageAnd not only that, if you are out in the bush and it's getting dark, you will hear them ringing. View imageIt's ear peircing. They are so frickin loud sometimes, you have to plug your ears so they don't start to bleed or something.
