Thats More Like It.

The Fontana NORBA was funny. The track was desert dry and rocky at the top, felt like you were on a different planet, was super cool. Then it was basically the longest sprint of your life till the finish line. You wouldn't understand what I mean by longest sprint unless you've seen it. They call it "the wall" not just because it runs the length of an entire neighbourhood wall but because you feel like you're hitting a wall. Not just a clever name. Then it was so windy, you sometimes felt like a passenger up in the rocks and then had the pleasure of pedaling against it. But it was still fun as hell. I got my new race bike View image View image and was messing with it a lot to get it set up but its sweet and I felt good on it and put in a solid effort to finish 2nd. Was a close race with Pruitt beating me out by just over 2 seconds, Marla Streb and I were tied for first when I crossed the finish line but when they went to the thousandth of a second, I just beat her out. Cool. Lisa Myklak was a few seconds off us in 4th and Johanna Petterson in 5th. View imageWell, I hope to continue the trend over here in Vigo, the first World Cup. And after practicing the track today, yup, its definately a World Cup track! Full on, top to bottom. No screwing around. Its sick! Anyways, gotta go get rid of this jet lag with maybe a beer? ha.
