The Worx

Crankworx started out kinda crappy with my wounds and everything but since I had a ton to do I tried to suck it up and get it done. As some of you know I'm part of the Marketing team at SRAM and we threw 3 awsome parties during Crankworx. The first was at my house and it was a sweet wiffle golf tournament. The second was the XC loonie race and party at Behind the Grind and last but not least the most amazing ViP viewing area for the slopestyle located right next to the stage on top of the ticket building.Those things can't throw themselves and it was a damn good time! On friday I tried to race the dual slalom but they shit the bed with the timing and t got rescheduled for Saturday and I had other obligations... Ryan Cleek from Mountain Bike action sent this photo over. The Slopestyle was very medium this year... The course was crap and the athlete's were not liking it but all well right? Brandon Semenuk ruled it!!! Ive been working with him for just over two years and wow I'm so proud of him! He's 16 and rode so smart in front of a home town crowd! imagine the skills he's going to have at 19... 3 years from now! Sunday was good but during the Slolom I re-agrivated my shin injury and it felt like I had drop foot... I rode a couple laps but with flats and basically rode like a rookie so I opted out of raceing the Canadian open course that I helped design... Just so you know this was the definet low point for me, I just don't like watching. I put on the happy face but really the darkness was setting in.
